WP8 ensures the efficient management and strategic direction of DigiMed Bayern. As an experienced management organization, BioM is responsible for coordinating the consortium and handling external communications.

    Planning, monitoring, and reporting on all work packages.

    Analysis of the national and international landscape of P4 medicine, establishment of partnerships, and assessment of Bavaria’s position.
  • Public Relations:
    Raising the profile of DigiMed Bayern as a flagship project for digital medicine through PR initiatives and stakeholder communication.

Project Management, Communication, and Public Relations by BioM

Overview

Work Package 8 forms the organizational backbone of the DigiMed project and is responsible for management, coordination, controlling, and internal and external communication. The goal is to efficiently manage the consortium, ensure compliance with funding requirements, and maintain the project’s long-term visibility.

Key Results

  • Management and Coordination:
    • Development and signing of the cooperation agreement, as well as significant involvement in collaboration with third parties.
    • Preparation of the main applications for DigiMed Phase 1 and Phase 2, as well as coordination of amendment requests.
    • Development of data protection concepts and documentation, including close coordination with the Bavarian State Commissioner for Data Protection (BayLfD) and maintenance of a document map comprising 152 documents.
  • Project Controlling and Reporting:
    • Semi-annual reporting on work packages using a standardized template and updating of the project plan.
    • Project management with a focus on maximum sustainability even after the project’s conclusion.
    • Regular operational and strategic meetings (Jour Fixe) with the consortium leadership and the Projektträger Bayern.
  • Support and Content Input:
    • Contributing to content, particularly regarding data protection, IT infrastructure, the HerzFit App, and the VRONI study.
  • Public Relations and Marketing:
    • Regularly updating the websites (www.digimed-bayern.de, www.bio-m.org), creating project flyers and promotional videos.
    • Social media activities (YouTube, LinkedIn, Twitter), podcasts, and newsletters.
    • Support for public relations for WP3 (VRONI) and WP1.2 (HerzFit App).
    • Articles in print and online media, e.g., “BioM Bavarian Biotech Report,” “Der Spiegel,” “transkript,” and various press releases.
  • Events:
    • Organization and execution of the annual DigiMed Bayern Symposium as well as numerous working meetings and external events (e.g., Digital Health Summit, German Biotechnology Days).
    • Co-organization of meetings with data protection authorities and external reviews on information security.
  • Networking and Sustainability:
    • Establishing and maintaining collaborations with national and international partners (e.g., BHC, Modellvorhaben Genomsequenzierung, EU projects).
    • Initiating and supporting feasibility studies and grant applications for sustainable further development.
